Co-op Town Hall at Southbridge Towers

More than 100 shareholders filled the room at Southbridge Towers in Manhattan for a standing-room-only town hall on the future of affordable homeownership.

The discussion covered the financial pressures facing co-ops and condominiums across the city — rising insurance premiums, increasing property taxes, escalating utility costs, and unfunded mandates such as Local Law 97 — and how residents across every borough can preserve the affordability and long-term sustainability of their communities.
